A convenience and grocery store supplying 100% vegan food AND favorites from Sage Against the Machine? Heck yeah! They’ve been hitting milestones with permitting and prep for the storefront, so follow V Go’s on social media to be the first to hear about their opening. (Facebook | Instagram)

GRAND OPENING: That’s What I Like Island Grill

Chris and Taylor and I visited their new restaurant during the grand opening a couple weeks ago and the food was AWESOME! If you love Filipino food, you need to go there. If you’ve never had Filipino food...yes, you need to go there. (Website | Facebook | Instagram | CGNW visit)

GRAND OPENING: MW Soapworks

They opened a storefront on August 3 on Commercial St in Bellingham! Be sure to stop in for your natural skincare and soap products. (Website | Facebook | Instagram)

GRAND OPENING: Pumped Bellingham

Bellingham’s first mobile refillery opened earlier this summer. It means cleaning supplies, personal care, and laundry type product refills from giant pump bottles on the back of a truck! Bring your bottles and fill them up onsite at farmers markets, pop-ups; or they also offer local delivery. There’s a ton of information on the products and process on the Pumped Bellingham website or social media, so be sure to check it out! (Website | Facebook | Instagram)

GRAND OPENING: Amendment 21

I missed this one last month, so it’s here this month! Amendment 21 is a Prohibition-era barroom in the historic Hotel Leo building. The food, beers, ciders and gin are sourced locally and regionally, and inspired by the Pacific Northwest. (The 21st Amendment (1933) to the US Constitution repealed the 18th Amendment (1917) which had prohibited the sale or manufacturing of alcohol within the United States.) REOPENING: Brandywine Kitchen

In May, Brandywine suffered a fire in the back alley that damaged the building. They just reopened for indoor dining on the 16th of this month! (Website | Facebook | Instagram)

COMMUNITY COLLABORATION

We all missed April Brews Day this year, so instead, this year the crew is hosting the Max Higbee Center Fall Crawl. More than 30 breweries, cideries and tap houses are participating, and the event will happen from August 28-September 19!
